Privacy and Cookie Policy
The University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest does not disclose your personal data for use by third parties, except for those expressly mentioned. Personal data collected may be used only partially (e.g. email address – only first name, last name, title such as Mr./Ms., and the email address itself).
Users of the website www.vetedeurope2026.usamv.ro have the following rights in relation to the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest:
Right of Access to Personal Data
You have the right to access the personal data provided through completed forms.
If this Privacy Policy does not sufficiently clarify your concerns, you may request additional information by sending a request to comunicare@usamv.ro, where you can find out:
- the purpose of processing personal data;
- the categories of personal data concerned;
- the recipients to whom the personal data have been disclosed;
- the period for which personal data will be stored.
Right to Rectification
If you notice that your personal data are inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request their correction or completion by sending a request to comunicare@usamv.ro.
If the personal data were not provided directly by you, as the data subject, you have the right to request any available information regarding their origin. Such information will be provided where available and only if the source of the data can be identified. In this case, you must provide information proving that the data were not supplied by your direct action.
You may separately request confirmation as to whether your personal data are being processed and, if so, request access to them and certain related information. Upon request, you may also receive a copy of the completed form.
Please note that any rectification may take at least one month. In special circumstances, this period may be extended to two months, in which case you will be informed accordingly. If your rectification request is not fulfilled, if you do not receive a response, or if no agreement is reached regarding the rectification timeline, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing and to seek judicial remedy.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”)
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data without undue delay, and we are obliged to comply where one of the following applies:
- the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed;
- you withdraw your consent on which the processing is based;
- you object to the processing;
- there are concerns regarding the lawfulness of the processing;
- a legal obligation requires deletion;
- the personal data belong to children under the age of 16 and the consent given by parents or legal guardians has been withdrawn.
Depending on available technology and implementation costs, we will take reasonable measures, including technical measures, to inform all processors who had access to the personal data that you have requested their deletion, including any copies or links to such data.
We are not obliged to comply with a deletion request where processing is necessary for:
- exercising the right to freedom of expression and information;
- compliance with a legal obligation;
- reasons of public interest in the area of public health;
- archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes;
- the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Right to Restriction of Processing
This right applies in the following situations:
- when you request rectification of inaccurate data, for the period necessary to verify and correct them;
- when the processing is unlawful and you oppose deletion, requesting restriction instead;
- when we no longer need the personal data but you require them for legal claims;
- when you object to processing, for the period during which we verify whether our legitimate grounds override your rights.
If processing restrictions are lifted, you will be informed accordingly.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to comunicare@usamv.ro. The request must specify the personal data concerned, the purpose for which they were provided, and the communication channels for which consent is withdrawn.
Withdrawal of consent results in the cessation of communications and processing, as well as collaboration. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format and to request that these data be transmitted directly to another data controller, where technically feasible.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing, particularly for profiling purposes. This right does not apply where legitimate grounds override your interests, such as the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Exercising Your Rights
All the above rights may be exercised by submitting a written, dated, and signed request to the headquarters of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest,

or by email to comunicare@usamv.ro, except for the right to address the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing or the courts.
Requests submitted at intervals greater than 60 days are free of charge.
Requests submitted between 30 and 59 days from the previous request may incur a reasonable fee reflecting processing costs.
Requests submitted within less than 30 days may be rejected if deemed unfounded or excessive.
Where there are doubts regarding the identity of the applicant, additional information may be requested to confirm identity.
